Transfer window closed with a surprise!

There goes the final call for the transfer window. It seems that Arsenal managed to secure the services of Danny Welbeck from their rivals Manchester United. This seemed like a shocking move but I believe Wenger wanted a central forward to cover for the injured Olivier Giroud.

Even at 23, Welbeck has shown signs that he is rising to be a star in the future. He has scored 20 Premier League goals in 90 appearances and has won 26 caps for England since his 2011 debut, scoring eight. I would say that's a decent record for a 23 year old striker.

Welbeck is currently on international duty with England and will report back to the club next week. Will he be selected for the crucial match against the defending champions, Manchester City? Where will Wenger play Welbeck or will he be given his debut at all? I believe these are the common questions that the fans would like to know.

The international break will give a chance for Arsenal to regroup. I believe their shaky start to the season requires some serious and in-depth thinking by Wenger. Looking forward to the Manchester City match as I believe it would be a match to prove who's up for the title challenge this year!
